I created the world
seven days
each week, resting on
Sunday because
the bar was closed, and
when I end, when
I begin
When middle ground
falls, I think
I will understand the
gravity
of my position
dangling above the
agnostic abyss
between the ledges
of alternate eternities

For I shall repent
only the fact
that I got here in
the first place, that
I erected the world
on quicksand. Because I
know devils fall
and angels fly, and
that I, devout in my centrism
will hang on for
dear life, like
the apterous God
I am
